Your privacy matters to us at PlainPropertyTax. To understand how visitors navigate our county-level property tax data, we rely on Umami, an analytics solution built around user privacy that functions entirely without cookies. No personal identifiers are ever stored. We only measure broad usage trends like total page visits, traffic sources, and the types of devices used to access our site.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

PlainPropertyTax does not set first-party cookies. However, third-party services used on this site may set cookies:

  • Google AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's DoubleClick cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing patterns.
  • Cloudflare may set security cookies (e.g., __cf_bm) to distinguish humans from bots.

Your light/dark theme preference and any saved-county watchlist are stored in your browser's localStorage. The watchlist contains only public county slugs and stays on your device unless you choose “Copy share link”; that URL includes the saved slugs so someone else can open the same county list. You can remove saved counties from the watchlist or clear this site's browser storage at any time.

Advertising

We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This includes:

Editorial Independence

Content on PlainPropertyTax is compiled by our editorial process from official source data. raw data from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates is reformatted into readable county and state profiles by our editorial process and verified against the source. before publication. The PlainPropertyTax is responsible for editorial standards and corrections.

We do not accept payment, sponsorship, or promoted placement from assessors, tax-appeal firms, real-estate brokerages, or any covered jurisdiction. Our only revenue source is contextual display advertising served by Google AdSense, advertisers do not influence which counties we cover or how we present data, and they do not receive preferential placement.
